Amy O’Connor is an aviation and shipping lawyer with broad experience of advising clients on litigation, transactional and regulatory matters in these industries, as well as insolvency litigation. Amy’s breadth of experience has provided her with a deep understanding of her clients’ varied businesses and their contentious and non-contentious legal requirements.
Amy has particular expertise in the aviation and travel sectors, acting for clients in these industries including airlines, insurers, lessors, operators, banks and tour operators. Amy advises clients on a range of matters, including contractual and tort disputes, insurance coverage, terms and conditions of carriage and booking conditions, charter agreements, aircraft finance and leasing, and sale and regulation of holidays and travel products by airlines and tour operators.
Amy’s practice also extends to shipping and oil and gas matters, including asset sale, purchase and finance, regulatory issues surrounding the recycling of ships and oil rigs, and shipping and energy litigation.
Prior to joining Tatham & Co Amy spent six years at another leading firm in her practice areas. Amy has also spent time on secondment to a bank in Paris advising on aircraft leasing and finance, and working for an airline in a non-legal role.
