Educated in Athens, Montreal and London, Lydia is a shipping and international trade lawyer at Tatham & Co.
Lydia represents clients on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious matters. She is passionate about providing high-quality, dedicated and well-rounded service to her clients, always aiming to bring disputes to a successful resolution.
Lydia has experience in both English High Court litigation and London arbitration, and has advised clients on charterparties, bills of lading, sale & purchase disputes and war risk insurance coverage, as well as on matters relating to salvage, groundings, cargo claims and ship arrests. Most recently she been involved in handling disputes arising from trading in politically complex jurisdictions such as Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Libya. On the non-contentious side, she has experience in drafting ship sale & purchase contracts in addition to conducting sale and purchase transactions.
Prior to joining Tatham & Co, Lydia attended McGill University in Canada, where she obtained her BA in History & Art History before going on to complete the GDL and LPC at The University of Law in London. Lydia is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
