Our dynamic and growing international shipping practice typically acts for owners, charterers, marine insurers, P&I and Defence clubs, traders, salvors and shipbuilders.
We anticipate offering a generous package to the right candidates.
We specialise in high-end shipping, shipbuilding and commodities litigation, and general commercial litigation, in addition to all types of wet shipping work.
Whilst most of our work is litigation or arbitration, and we have had in the past twelve months some notable successes in reported High Court decisions and in arbitration, there is steady requirement to advise on contract drafting in addition.
The firm is now looking for a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) disputes lawyer, with a marine industry background. We are a friendly, collegiate, and motivated team, free of big-firm politics and targets. You would be based in our City office, but we are flexible with regard to home working.
We expect this to be a supportive platform from which you will have the freedom to develop a following, and your long-term practice.

We specialise in high-end cases involving major casualties, total loss of vessel or cargo, charterparty disputes, general average, marine insurance and war risk coverage, salvage, towage and wreck. We represent towage and salvage contractors as well as owners and insurers in piracy and kidnapping cases, where we are market leaders. Our clients are international, including insurers in Scandinavia, Clubs in London and owners in Greece.
The firm is now looking for a Master Mariner solicitor or Marine Manager from private practice with 6+ years of experience in or mainly in Wet work.
